Vehicle Leasing
Adverse credit vehicle leads,
cars and vans, leasing and rental.
Yes. AceLeads supplies adverse credit vehicle leads: UK drivers and businesses who have told us their credit is poor, thin or previously declined, and who want to lease or rent a car or van. Around 200 arrive a month across cars and vans, personal and business, and the large majority are currently unplaced because most of our panel only works prime. Each lead states the vehicle type, the monthly budget, the term, the region and the credit position the customer disclosed. AceLeads introduces the enquiry only. It is not a lender, a broker or a credit intermediary, and makes no credit decision of any kind.
The customers a prime desk turns away. They have told us their credit is poor before you ever speak to them, so nobody wastes a phone call finding out.

- Whether they want a lease, a longer-term rental, or are open to either
- Monthly budget as a figure
- Term and annual mileage where given
- Deposit or upfront amount where stated
- Timeframe, and region or full postcode
- Consent evidence: the form, the wording shown, the timestamp

Why this inventory exists
We generate more of these than our panel will take
Our vehicle funnel does not filter on credit at the front door, so a large share of what comes through is people whose credit is poor, thin or has already been declined somewhere. They still need a vehicle. Most are working, most have a deposit or a realistic monthly figure in mind, and a good number are self-employed, which is a credit file problem rather than an affordability one.
The panel we route to today is built for prime. Those desks decline this customer on sight, which leaves roughly 200 enquiries a month with nowhere sensible to go. If you run an all-credit book, a sub-prime lender panel, or a rental fleet that takes a larger deposit instead of a clean score, that is the gap you are looking at.
The two halves of it behave completely differently, which is why they have their own pages. A personal driver wanting a car is a considered purchase with a shopping window. A sole trader whose van has died is off the road and losing money today. Same credit tier, entirely different sales job, and most desks are set up for one or the other.
Three tiers, labelled
Adverse, thin file and previously declined are recorded separately rather than lumped together, because most funder panels treat them as three different questions.
Disclosed, not inferred
The credit position comes from the customer at the point of enquiry. We do not search, score or guess, so what you receive is what they said about themselves.
National, not regional
148 postcode areas and growing. If you cover a radius rather than the country, you set it and only that radius reaches you.
The adverse credit vehicle market
A large, underserved customer nobody is fighting you for
“Adverse credit” covers three quite different situations, and lumping them together is why a lot of desks write the whole segment off. A default or a county court judgment is a conduct question. A thin or empty file is an absence of evidence, common among younger applicants and people new to the UK. Self-employment is neither: the income is often fine and simply cannot be evidenced the way a funder wants. We record which of the three a customer described, because a panel that declines the first will frequently fund the second and third.
The economics differ from prime in one important way. Prime leasing is a dozen brokers quoting the same driver inside an hour, and the margin goes to whoever is quickest and cheapest. This segment is barely contested, because most of the market has decided it is not worth the underwriting effort. The scarce resource here is a desk that will look properly, not another quote.
Product flexibility is the other structural difference. Leasing and rental are separate trades in prime and rarely meet. Here they overlap constantly: where a lease will not fund, a longer-term rental or flexi-hire at a larger deposit frequently will, so a single enquiry can be placeable on one product and not the other. That is why these leads carry both, and why a desk with access to either side places more of them.

FAQ
Adverse credit vehicle leads, explained.
Everything a supplier usually wants to know before reserving their first lead. Still unsure? Talk to our team.
What does “adverse credit” mean on these leads?
It is what the customer told us about their own credit when they enquired: poor or adverse, a thin or empty file, or previously declined. We record it as disclosed and pass it on. We do not run a credit search, score anyone or verify the disclosure, so treat it as the customer’s own account of their position and run your own checks as you normally would.
Is AceLeads a credit broker or a lender?
No. AceLeads introduces an enquiry to you and nothing else. We are not a lender, a credit broker or a credit intermediary, we give no advice to the customer, and we make no decision about whether anyone can be funded. HDCH Limited, which trades as AceLeads, is not authorised by the Financial Conduct Authority. Any regulated activity is yours, under your own permissions.
Are these leasing enquiries or rental enquiries?
Both, and many are open to either. Some customers have specifically asked about leasing, some about hiring a vehicle for a longer period, and a large share simply want a car or van and will take whichever route actually works for them. Where they have stated a preference it is on the lead, and where they have not, that flexibility is usually an advantage to you.
How many are there and what is the split?
Around 200 new adverse and thin-file enquiries arrive a month, and the number has grown every month we have measured. Roughly seven in ten are cars and three in ten are vans, and about five in six are personal rather than business. They cover 148 postcode areas, so this is national volume rather than one region.
Why are so many of them unplaced?
Because our current panel is built for prime. Those desks decline this customer on sight, so the enquiries sit. It is a gap in who we route to rather than a problem with the enquiries, which is exactly why we are looking for desks that work this book.
Do they have deposits?
Some do, and it is captured where stated. It matters more here than in prime, because a larger upfront payment is often what makes a rental or flexi-hire arrangement workable when a lease will not fund. The stated monthly budget averages over £500, so there is usually something to work with.
Can I take only vans, or only business applicants?
Yes. You set your criteria and only see what matches: vehicle type, personal or business, credit tier, monthly budget and region. If you only place vans for sole traders in the North West, that is all that reaches you.
What does it cost?
Nothing to browse or reserve. You pay an agreed fee only when a lead converts, with no contract, retainer or monthly minimum. Our pricing page sets out how it works.
